The ECTED (Electronically Controlled Traction Enhancing Differential) is exclusively controlled by electrical current to the coil. During the installation of ring & pinions the carrier has to be removed multiple times to have the shims adjusted for backlash. On some carriers the shims are located behind the bearings and the bearings have to be pressed on and off multiple times to adjust these shims. To prevent damage to the carrier or the bearings Auburn Gear has developed these Set-Up Bearings that have had the press fit feature removed. With this feature removed the bearing can be taken off easily and quickly saving time and effort in the set-up of your differential gear set, locker and axle assemblies. THESE BEARINGS CANNOT BE RUN FOR FINAL INSTALLATION - ONLY FOR SET-UP!
