Your vehicle has the receiver it needs for trailering your tools, trailers, and toys. But when you remove the drawbar, what do you do about the low hanging receiver? It likely sits lower than the rest of the bumper. If the action gets extreme, a skid plate such as this will act as a buffer on steep approaches and departures. Shown here with the brackets (that attach to the vehicle to be towed) already connected to the towbar. The strength of this unit likely exceeds your Jeep's capacity to pull the load, so use caution as with all towing. Safe use requires accessories such as Safety Chains, Magnetic light kit, and wiring for lights. For safety reasons, manufacturer recommends driving under 45 m.p.h.
 

Adjustable chains are required for use with a towbar to have a safety connection between tow vehicle and the towbar. Plenty included with chain unions for adjustment.
