Brute Force intake tubes are made of 6061 aluminum, available in silver powder coat or polished mirror finish. AEM engineers emphasize tuning the resonance properties of the inlet pipe to help carry more air to the intake valves. They use aluminum piping for this, because plastic absorbs some of the sound energy they manipulate to create power, and mild steel is heavy and can rust. The pluming is routed so air is drawn from the safest and coolest location, and they provide a steel powder-coated heat shield to shroud the filter from engine heat and road debris. With more air flow, horsepower and gains in fuel mileage, that's Brute Force!
