MTX Thunder Dome-Axial Speakers

With a reputation for quality and performance in amps and subs and MTX Audio's new breed of subwoofers cranking out more bass than ever, the time has come to enhance the world of coaxial speakers. Introducing Thunder Dome-Axials™—a line that offers crystal clear sound and ease of installation to complement the legendary MTX bass.

New MTX Thunder Dome-Axials have been engineered to provide ease of installation for direct OEM replacement applications while offering extremely accurate music reproduction. All models from the 4" up to the 6" x 8" feature a 20 mm soft dome tweeter—the tweeter swivels on the larger speakers, for an improved listening experience. The 2-way 6" x 9" model has a 25 mm soft dome tweeter and the 3-way has a 20 mm and a 25 mm soft dome tweeter.

Totally new to MTX, is our TDX6802 6" x 8" speaker. This model doubles as a 5" x 7" speaker. Instead the more common filler plate, MTX designed the speaker so that it could be mounted in factory locations of both 5" x 7" speakers and 6" x 8" speakers using a truly innovative wide mounting flange.

All models of the new Thunder Dome-Axial line are designed to be installation friendly and have one of the shallowest mounting depths available. A newly designed graphite style grille (on select models) sets off the aluminum deposition cone of the speaker giving the Thunder Dome-Axial speakers a look that demands attention to go along with their high performance standards.
